CMC Adventure provides a wide range of courses, both governing body, sport specific courses and experience based courses. These range from those aimed wholly at young people and those aged over 18. The length of the courses vary from 1 day to 8 weeks.

We can arrange both training and assessments where this is required.  Should you be unable to see the course or dates you require, please contact the office for more information.

Each course runs with a variety of numbers of participants. Should you wish to attend a course and have a minimum of 4 colleagues / friends wishing to attend the course with you, we may be able to book a course just for you. Please contact us to find out the minimum number required for the course you are interested in to see if this is possible.

 

PERSONAL COACHING

We are also able to assist personal coaching in your chosen sport to help you work towards gaining the pre-requisites for training or assessment.

  • 1:1 and 1:2 instruction
    The cost for the instructor and equipment for up to two people will be
    1⁄2 day - £72.50 | Full Day - £145
  • For 3 or more people we charge per person
    1⁄2 day - £30 | Full Day - £52.50

Safety and Risk Management
AALAAt CMC we take the responsibility of safety and risk management very seriously. All of our staff are appropriately qualified for the activities they lead. We are inspected by the National Governing Bodies (see left) and meet their stringent standards. We have an AALA licence (Registration number L10638/R0191) covering the following activities; kayaking canoeing, paddle surfing, improvised rafting, sailing, paddle boarding, rock climbing, abseiling, sea level traversing, gorge scrambling, hill walking and mountaineering (summer conditions only). We employ the services of highly qualified and experienced “Technical Advisors” from outside of the centre who inspect and support our onsite team and facilities. Risk assessments are carried out for all activities and they are reviewed on a yearly basis. Copies of risk assessments and operating procedures are available on request from the office.
