Stunning scenery and wonderful wildlife just waiting to be discovered.

A walk around the local area which may include: some of the local history, an opportunity to discover a Celtic burial chamber, a glimpse of the hardships of the slate mining industry, some stunning views of the mountains around the centre and learning a little about the local wildlife.

Alternatively, take the opportunity to walk and chat to friends.

You may also consider incorporating one of our John Muir Award sessions into a half day walk.  These sessions provide an opportunity for you to look in more detail at the world around you: capture, study, identify and then release the amazing minibeasts that inhabit the forest floor, identify trees - those which are native and good for our forests and those which have invaded from foreign shores. Use camouflage to discover how insects and small mammals escape the larger creatures that prey on them.
