We offer the opportunity to visit Harlech Castle, situated just a few minutes by either train or car from the centre.
Harlech Castle is a World Heritage Site, a 13th century medieval fortification built by the English King, Edward 1 during his invasion of Wales between 1282 and 1289. Over the next few centuries, the castle played an important part in several wars. The castle stands on a rocky outcrop close to the Irish Sea with incredible views across Tremadog Bay to the Llyn Peninsular and the Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) Mountain Range.
Our instructors will guide you around the castle, teaching you more about the history surrounding this part of North Wales. Whilst in Harlech, there is also opportunity for visits to local gift shops and ice cream!
