AALA License: CMC Adventure is an Adventurous Activities Licensing Authority approved centre (licence number L5103 / R0109). We are regularly inspected to ensure that we follow good safety management practices. We employ the services of highly qualified and experienced ‘Technical Advisors’ from outside of the centre who inspect and support our onsite team and facilities.
Adventuremark: We have been awarded the Adventuremark by the Adventurous Activities Industry Advisory Committee (AAIAC). The AAIAC have inspected our operation and confirmed that we meet the necessary standards of good practise in the adventure activity industry.
LOTC Quality Badge: The Council for Learning Outside the Classroom have inspected CMC Adventure using their own criteria and awarded CMC Adventure with the Quality Badge. This is a nationally recognised indicator of good quality educational provision. The Department for Education recommends that schools look for the LOtC Quality Badge when choosing external providers for educational visits.
RYA Approved: We are also regularly inspected by the RYA to ensure that our delivery of sailing and powerboat activities meet their high standards.
Risk Assessments and Operating Procedures: RA’s and OP’s and reviewed annually. Copies of risk assessments and operating procedures are available upon request.

Staff Qualifications: All CMC Adventure staff are appropriately qualified, and CMC Adventure has a stringent process of staff training and assessment in place. Each member of staff holds a first aid certificate and relevant safety and life-saving qualifications for the activities they lead. Our experienced Instructors are qualified to deliver courses accredited by British Canoeing, Mountain Training, The RYA and the Institute of Outdoor Learning and maintain their personal memberships of these organisations where appropriate. All of our outdoor staff are experienced practitioners and have gained much experience in the activities we offer. Our senior outdoor staff are extremely experienced, having gained outdoor experience and qualifications both here in the UK and abroad.
Insurance: CMC Adventure has public liability and employers insurance which covers instances where CMC Adventure is liable. It is strongly recommended that each visitor takes out their own personal holiday insurance which covers outdoor activities and includes cancellation, injury and theft of belongings.
